How to get started?
Secure your canvas
With tape or a frame to avoid movement during painting.
Fill each area
With paint marked with the matching number ( 1 to 24 ).
Lighter area first
Start painting an area of lighter color first, left to right is an ideal way.
One color at a time
Stick with one color at a time to avoid cleaning the paint brush frequently.
Clean it up
Clean your paintbrush between colors with water and a paper towel.
I was pleasantly surprised about the great quality of this product. The canvas is thick. I haven’t done a paint by number in YEARS and this will be a challenge but I think it will be worth it. Pay attention to the directions. I’m left handed so I start at the right bottom corner about an inch up. (This is because if you work bottom up, you’ll get paint on your hands when you have to put your hand on the canvas while painting). Then work the larger areas and move on to the right. It helped me to dot the line area of the colored number. Once you paint over the number you can easily get off track where you’re at.Could become a new hobby. Satisfying.

This kit is beautiful and looks just like the photo when done – so good that I’m going to frame it. It does have a lot of very small detail sections and I found the brushes provided were slightly too big for them. I just bought a couple of tiny cheap brushes and it made completion easier. Some lighter colors need a second coat of paint to cover the numbers – but I believe that’s mentioned in the instructions. Highly recommend.

It was bigger than I expected, so if you’re planning to hang it, look at it’s dimensions!! I’m thinking about getting my friends new ones for Christmas!!
